HAPPY HOMEMAKER AND MENU PLAN MONDAY

Our week did NOT go as planned, but ended up being just as productive as if it had, so ALL is good. LOL I spent most of yesterday sorting through ALL of our holiday decorations (including those things from both grandmothers) trying to reduce and decide on whether we keep it, donate it, toss it or if there is enough sentimental value to call family members to see if they want it. I can't believe how much time this takes.
WEATHER OUTSIDE
The weather the past few days has been GORGEOUS! But all good things come to an end and today looks like it's going to be one of those days, oops I mean weeks. It's going to be warm, humid and stormy most of the week.

TO DO FOR THE WEEK
  • I will be spending most of today finishing the sort through Christmas ornaments and doing some much needed paperwork.
  • Tuesday we will be painting the spare bedroom and bathroom as well as installing the vanity in the spare bathroom.
  • Wednesday we will be ordering the new washer and dryer as well as picking up the sink for the spare bathroom.
  • Thursday-Saturday we have decided we need to have a few days to finish ALL the little bits and pieces.  There are several areas where we have had to wait for parts to arrive so moved on to something else and now it's time to double back, etc...  If this goes smoothly on Thursday and Friday we hope to put the final coat of paint on the master bath Saturday.

Not looking forward to much this week.  We have been catching up on a few movies and seen some recently that were pretty good or at least thought provoking:

  1. Sounds like you are making lots of progress over there! I still need to see Mocking Jay part 2, tried to rent it over spring break and accidentally rented part 1 (which the teenager owns! ugh). Hope you have a wonderful week!

    1. We're getting so close and it's making me a bit anxious not being able to do it ALL at once. Hope your week was wonderful.

  2. Glad you had some lovely days! And sounds like you continue to be busy as ever Lady. ;)

I'm curious out of that list of movies what was your fave? I think I've only seen Mocking Jay 2 out of what you had there. I'm especially curious about what you thought of The Hateful Eight? Quentin is a whacky dude - yet many of his movies have been pretty captivating to me (if not graphic though for sure).

Love your inspiration! Blessings on the rest of your week Sweetie!! xoxo

    1. It was a very odd list of movies for sure. I did not know The Hateful Eight was Tarantino when I rented it, but realized it VERY quickly. Despite the graphic nature I actually enjoyed it a lot, ad it had such great actors. Heart of the Sea was great too - loved the story behind the story aspect to the plot. Forsaken, The 33 and The Intern were quite well done also. Loved the western, psuedo-documentary and light hearted comedy that once again had some great actors. This week we saw Victor Frankenstein and I LOVED it - interesting re-write of the plot.

  3. Your menu sounds great! How are the Calloway books? I'm always looking for new authors!

    1. Thanks. I've really enjoyed the Callaway books, Barbara Freethy has some different plots that seem more real. I really enjoy the "series" books.

  4. Once your house is all done, and you are sitting around doing nothing, won’t it be fun to look back at these blogs? :) That day will come!!

I started the Callaway series, I think I got to book 4, I’ve got some catching up to do, I really enjoyed it.

    Enjoy your weekend!!
